The Big Round Ticking Clock
I have been thinking a lot this week about time and how we spend it. Its been a very busy week and it is a busy time of year so this will vary for me depending on the time of year.
When I disected this past week this is what I came up with. Now my question I want to ponder tonight is just what I did with those 54.5 hours? Did I use them wisely? Now of course there are many things I didnt document here. Like showering and getting ready in the morning/evening etc. Like driving from place to place. Like devotion time.
But all week I felt like I had no time. I was running here and there and not sure just how I was gonna get everything done. But now that I do this I feel like I may have had extra time if I would have just managed it a bit better. There are things that I have to do but its what I do with those extra hours that count. Those hours that arent filled with work and sleep and eating. Those hours that could be used to make the world a better place, to make me a better person, to help out someone in need, to do whatever it is God wants me to be doing at that point in time. There are many things that I would love to do. Many things have popped into my head that I should do sometime but never seem to get around to it. I know that writing this blog isnt gonna make them happen. I know that the only way I will ever go do them is if I decide myself that I can make time and go do whatever it is that I should. I love helping others out. I love the feeling of knowing that I just helped make someone's day, but I also dont like the feeling of being exhausted all the time. How can we find that balance? The balance of being able to get everything done that we need to do but also be able to do things for other? How do we do it with out have a burn out from too much work? Why are our lives so busy? We live in a fast paced culture. Its a go, go, go culture. We run from one place to the next. How can we slow down just a bit so we are able to notice the beauty around us?
I know that fall is the busiest time for me, but I am determined to make this a very good fall. A fall that if possible i can feel refreshed after every sunday and monday so I can start the week fresh again. If all weeks are like the past this will be difficult but I am sure that with some help I can make it happen.
If anyone has any ideas on how I can do this I would be thrilled to know. If you have answers to any of the questions I asked in this blog also please reply because they are just things that have been rolling in my mind and I have been asking but not coming up with good answers.
I dont know if blogging is a good use of my time but there also needs to be some time for relaxation. That was very much lacking this past week.
Let me know what comes to your mind and maybe we can figure this out together. :)

12 hours of time spent on fundraisor
